Are ‘genital preferences’ ‘transphobic’?

‘Genital preferences’ is a deliberately inaccurate and misleading term used by those who believe in Gender Ideology. Physical attraction based on the sex and whole body of another person is not a ‘preference’, it is normal human sexuality.

Those who subscribe to Gender Ideology often believe that there is no such thing as biological sex. They therefore believe that it is not possible for a person to experience physical attraction exclusively towards one sex or the other. They believe that a person can only experience attraction towards certain ‘genders’. But they also believe that there are an infinite number of ‘genders’, and that no ‘gender’ has any defining qualities.

Consequently, they believe that anyone who is homosexual (who experiences physical attraction exclusively towards those of the same sex) or heterosexual (who experiences physical attraction exclusively towards those of the opposite sex) just has a ‘preference’ for certain genitalia, and that this ‘preference’ can and must be ‘unlearned’.

In reality, human sexuality is a physical attraction based on the sex of the other person and their whole body. Sexuality is innate (it is fixed from before birth) and immutable (it does not change over the course of your life and cannot be changed, either wilfully or forcefully). The term ‘genital preference’ is used by people who have a deep hatred of homosexuality.

If you are homosexual, and someone of the opposite sex tries to convince you that you just have a ‘genital preference’, they are engaging in manipulative and coercive behaviour.
